Jay Christofferson teaches in the Construction Management program at Brigham Young University. He received a Ph.D. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Jay is a licensed general contractor and has done consulting work for many residential builders. He is a frequent speaker at the International Builder's Show and other industry conferences. He specializes in developing computer solutions in management, communication, and estimating for construction companies. He is the developer of Estimator Pro, an Excel-based estimating program for builders and remodelers. Jay is the author of NAHB's best selling book, "Estimating with Excel". He is co-author of Homebuilder Press' Keys to Estimating Success, Small Volume Builder Guidebook Series; Estimating For Builders and Remodelers, and Building Quality: An Operations Manual for Home Builders, a guidebook for quality construction.
